Oder-Spree — Workshop

Farmer For A Day

Summer is the peak of the gardening season and offers the opportunity to learn about the variety of activities involved in organic vegetable cultivation: planting, weeding, pest control and harvesting. The efficient and ergonomic execution of tasks plays an important role here, as do logistics and work organisation. This workshop gives a comprehensive insight into the processes involved in professional vegetable growing.

„Farmer For A Day“ offers the opportunity to get a taste of the world of market gardening and gain some first practical experience on the farm in just one morning. Participants learn how to set up a tiny farm, the essential steps and equipment used in biointensive vegetable cultivation, and how it fits into the food system. The practical program includes a variety of activities, such as a farm tour, hands-on exercises in the field, helpful tips and tricks from experienced gardeners, and opportunities to connect with others.
